Our 9th Grade Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) program provides students meaningful activities that connect academics to business and industry. Pike County High School CTAE offers programs in Agriculture, Business, and Health Science.
Each area of concentration provides students a series of courses that make up a career pathway. Agriculture pathways include Agriculture Mechanics, Food Animal Systems, and Plant & Landscape Systems. Courses in each of these pathways focus on student use of academic skill through relevant hands on application.
Agriculture students will be able to independently use their learning to demonstrate knowledge of all aspects of the agricultural industry from the producer through the agricultural process to the end consumer; demonstrate selected competencies in leadership through the FFA and agricultural industry organizations; demonstrate employability skills required by business and industry.
Ninth Grade Academy students have the option to take Basic Agriculture.
