Our 9th Grade Academy offers two science courses directly, as well as a third in cooperation with PC High School. First is Environmental Science. This is a course that is heavily weighted in the life science, with an emphasis on macro-level concepts like ecosystems and interactions. Also located at NGA is Biology. This lab course investigates phenomena and interactions associated with cells, genetics, and ecosystems. A third, STEM Biology, takes place at the high school and addresses the same concepts as Biology, but with a focus on how the ideas link to Geometry and Agriculture.
It is our hope that students in science will develop an ability to independently observe and question their surroundings as well as creatively and effectively solve problems by being persistent, communicating, and evaluating their results as well as those of other scientists.
There are no upcoming events at this time.
